Handmade Beads

Handmade beads are a wonderfully versatile creation, using polymer clay, shrink plastic, and all sorts of paper (including recycled junk mail). You can make so many different types of beads and turn them into jewelry, ornaments, and endless decorative possibilities.

Each bead becomes a tiny canvas that can be further adorned with paint, polish, foil, glitter, tinsel, embossing powder, or even cut-out words from books, making every piece unique and full of character.

The process is simple yet deeply satisfying. Strips of paper or clay are cut into specific shapes - tapered, squared, or rounded - that determine the final style and shape of the bead.

Using bead-rolling tools and your hands, the strips are tightly coiled, sealed, and finished to create durable, lightweight gorgeous beads with a polished finish.

Every bead holds its own story, carrying textures, colors, and hidden words within the layers. They are a fabulous piece of artwork by themselves.

Worn as jewelry or added to other creations, you would be amazed at how beautiful paper or clay can turn out as well as the amazing unique things you can create with them, including jewelry, bookmarks, wall decorations, mobiles, and more.

You can attend a handmade bead making group class or book a one-on-one session with me to learn the basic skills of creating your very own amazing handmade beads.

Group class prices will be listed on any scheduled paper beads classes (which will usually range from $25 to $55, depending on what materials are used).

You can also schedule a one-on-one class with me at $44 per hour and this would include all basic supplies.
