Beaded Malas: Prayer, Intention, and Devotion
A mala is a traditional strand of prayer beads used across spiritual traditions for meditation, mantra, and mindfulness.
Each mala is made with 108 beads, which is a sacred number symbolizing wholeness, the Universe, and the cycles of existence.
The beads are used to keep count during prayer or affirmation, gently guiding the mind into focus and presence.
The style of mala that I teach are strung with 8mm beads on silk cord, finished with a guru bead, a temple bead, and a flowing tassel.
Every detail is crafted with care, honoring both tradition and beauty. I will teach you how to pearl knot during the process and how to create your own mala with intention.
Color themes can be chosen to align with personal intention, whether for grounding, healing, clarity, or joy.
More than just jewelry, a mala is a companion on your spiritual path and is a tactile reminder to pause, breathe, and return to your center and your chosen state of presence.
It is both a tool for devotion and a piece of wearable art that carries meaning with every bead.
Mala classes are only available in a one-on-one classroom setting because it is an intricate and personal process.
Pricing starts at $88 and can go up to $111 depending on the type of beads and stones you want to create with. We work with genuine stones and silk cord throughout the process. It takes between 3 and 4 hours to create a completed mala which will be ready for you to wear that day.
