Altered Mini Tins
Mini altered tins are enchanting little keepsakes that transform an ordinary container (like an Altoids tin) into a miniature world of imagination.
Within their small metal frames, entire stories unfold. With miniature books tucked inside (that really open) and a whimsical scene arranged with care.
A real pocket sized portal of creativity.
These tins are as versatile as they are magickal. Some become altars (even traveling ones), filled with symbols of intention and devotion.
Others hold playful vignettes including fairy gardens, star maps, secret libraries and apothecaries, or dreamscapes that seem to hum with hidden life.
The process is one of delight and discovery, crafting tiny details that invite the viewer to pause, explore, and wonder.
Though small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, each altered tin carries the magick of the Universe. They are tokens of imagination and memory, reminders that even in the smallest spaces, infinite possibility can bloom.
Those possibilities are truly endless, as you can even create some pretty amazing creations inside the tin as well as on the outside of the tin with polymer clay, paper, paint, and other found objects.
You can attend a mini altered tin group class or book a one-on-one session with me to learn the basic skills of creating your very own altered tin. This can be as simple or elaborate as you prefer.
Group class prices will be listed on any scheduled mini altered tin classes (which will usually range from $40 to $75 depending on how elaborate the the inside and the outside of your tin is going to be).
You can also schedule a one-on-one class with me at $44 per hour and this would include all basic supplies.
